21st School Health Training Session Held

Group 1Infectious Diseases and Prejudice
Group 2Being Invited by Strangers on SNS
Group 3Self-Harm
Group 4Emergency Response to Drowning

Day 2 of the training involved a school visit (Svay Cheat Primary School).

Ms. San Sreyry (PTEC) conducted a first-aid lesson for the sixth graders.

This school has Ms. Nov Italy (a second-year graduate of the School Health program), a BTEC graduate.

We observed Ms. Italy’s health class. It was instruction on handwashing and toothbrushing for first graders. After listening to the teacher’s explanation inside the classroom, the students went outside, formed a circle, practiced the washing technique, and shared soap – thoughtful adaptations clearly suited for first graders. While the adorable sight of the first graders warmed our hearts, we also realized that the challenges of teaching first graders might be universal.

Seeing graduates actively contributing in various locations like this is a precious opportunity, not just for instructors but for staff as well, to tangibly feel the significance of this project. We are deeply grateful to the graduate and the school staff who kindly welcomed us and made preparations.
