10th School Health Training Session Held
We held the 10th School Health Officer Training session. The theme for Day 1 was “The Function and Management of the Health Room.” Health rooms are still unfamiliar in Cambodia. What distinguishes a health room from a clinic? Why is it important to keep records and data in the health room? Why is a health room necessary in the first place? We held discussions on these questions (which we hadn’t really addressed before). We also conducted role-play exercises themed around potential incidents that could occur in school health settings. Day 2 focused on mock lessons. The goal wasn’t to create lesson plans, but to share and learn from each instructor’s teaching methods. This time, two instructors led lessons, but going forward, all project members plan to participate.
Perseverance is power. The 11th training session is scheduled for March.
