During School Health Lecturer Training in Japan from September 14 to 19, we visited three primary schools and one junior high school in Japan.
(Primary Schools): Shizuoka University Faculty of Education attached Shizuoka Primary School
\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000 Tokyo Gakugei University attached Koganei Primary School
\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000 Hino City Toyoda Primary School
(Junior high School): Shizuoka University Faculty of Education attached Shizuoka Junior High School<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the school visits, we were able to hear directly from the principals and Yogo teachers at each school about their approaches to student teaching, the implementation of school health programs, the operation of health rooms, and school-wide health activities. It was a valuable experience not only to listen to their explanations but also to tour the schools and see things with our own eyes. At Shizuoka Primary School and Koganei Primary School, we were served school lunches, which allowed us to gain insight into the philosophy of food education in Japanese schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our training team consists of a diverse group of members\u2014including not only primary school teachers but also School Health lectures, Management teams, and officials at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport involved in teacher education and school health policies\u2014so we were able to gain insights relevant to each of our respective roles. We believe that by sharing these insights as a team, we can apply them to the introduction and implementation of school health programs in Cambodia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
