During Phase1 of the SHCC Project (2020–2025), implemented by Tokyo Gakugei University, school health textbooks were developed for teacher education colleges in Cambodia. These included a textbook for the compulsory “School Health” course in the primary school education program, as well as a textbook for “School Health” offered as a general education subject in the lower secondary school education program.

In Phase 2 of the SHCC Project (2026–2028), implemented by STEP, we aim to establish a specialized school health course within the lower secondary school education program. For this purpose, we will develop new textbooks specifically designed for the specialized course.

The Khmer-language textbooks developed under SHCC Project have undergone the official approval process of the Cambodian government and have been adopted as authorized textbooks for use at teacher education colleges.
The textbook for the primary school education program was officially handed over to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia at a ceremony held in March 2023, and the textbook for the lower secondary school education program was handed over at a ceremony held in December 2025.
