STEP, with funding from The Nippon Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. Working in collaboration with the Phnom Penh Institute of Education and the Battambang Institute of Education, STEP is working to promote school health in Cambodia.
In Japan, Professor Emeritus Takashi Asakura of Tokyo Gakugei University leads the initiative, collaborating with faculty from Ibaraki University, Saitama University, Yokohama National University, Jumonji University, Kyorin University, Shizuoka University, and other institutions.
STEP Cambodia Office operates as an international NGO in Cambodia, where Japanese and Cambodian staff residing locally coordinate activities with the government and teacher training universities.
