STEP conducts capacity-building programs for school health lecturers at Phnom Penh Teacher Education College and Battambang Teacher Education College.
During Phase 1, SHCC organized 25 school health lecturer training sessions in Cambodia and 4 training sessions in Japan, and trained a total of 23 school health lecturers at the two teacher education colleges.
In Phase 2, STEP will conduct school health lecturer trainings based on the curriculum of the specialized school health course within the lower secondary school education program.
At the completion of Phase 1, the school health lecturers trained through the SHCC Project were officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia as “National Trainers”, serving as experts responsible for teaching school health at teacher education institutions in Cambodia.
